Follow these in order the first time. After that it's just: close Rust → Connect → launch Rust from Steam.
-
Download and unzip the app
Download SupremacyVPN.zip, right-click it and choose Extract All. Keep the files together in one folder (somewhere like Documents), then run SupremacyVPN.exe.
Why: the app needs the engine folder that sits next to it. Running it from inside the zip, or moving the exe on its own, means it can't find the engine and won't connect.
-
If Windows says "Windows protected your PC"
Click More info, then Run anyway.
Why: Windows shows this for new apps it hasn't seen on many PCs yet. It's a reputation check, not a virus warning.
-
Click Yes on the administrator prompt
Windows asks whether to let the app make changes. Click Yes.
Why: to send Rust through your proxy, the app adds a virtual network adapter, and Windows only allows that with administrator rights. It doesn't change anything else on your PC.
-
Sign in
Use the email and password staff sent in your Discord ticket. The app remembers your email next time.
Why: signing in fetches your own dedicated IP. Your login stops working when your subscription ends, so keep your ticket open for renewals.
-
Close Rust completely before you connect
If Rust is running, quit it fully (not just to the main menu) and wait a few seconds.
Why: connections that are already open stay on your normal internet. Starting Rust after connecting means the game and its anti-cheat (Easy Anti-Cheat) both start on your dedicated IP from the very first connection.
-
Press Connect
Wait until it says Connected and the lion starts spinning.
Why: it takes a second to bring the tunnel up. Launching Rust before it's ready can start the game on your normal IP.
-
Launch Rust from Steam
Start Rust from your Steam library as normal. Don't run RustClient.exe directly.
Why: launching from Steam is what starts Easy Anti-Cheat. Without it, servers kick you. Rust and its anti-cheat go through your IP; Steam, Discord and everything else stay on your normal connection at full speed.
-
Leave the app open while you play
You can minimise it, but don't close it.
Why: closing the app shuts the tunnel, so Rust drops back to your normal IP mid-game and you'll be disconnected from the server.
-
When you're done: close Rust first, then Disconnect
Quit Rust, then press Disconnect (or just close the app).
Why: disconnecting while you're in a server switches your IP mid-game, which makes the server and anti-cheat drop you.
"Disconnected: EAC Authentication Timed Out"
Quit Rust, press Disconnect, then Connect again and relaunch Rust from Steam. If it keeps happening, your IP may be having trouble: open a ticket and we'll check it, and replace it free if it's faulty.
A server kicks me for using a VPN
Some community servers block VPN and proxy IPs. That's that server's rule, and the app can't get around it. Play on a different server, or open a ticket if it happens on lots of servers.
The app says "sing-box.exe is missing"
The app was moved away from its engine folder or run from inside the zip. Extract the whole zip again and run SupremacyVPN.exe from the extracted folder.
"Your subscription has expired"
Renew in your Discord ticket. Once staff extend your access, sign in again.
I want a different IP
One dedicated IP is included each month. A new or extra IP before then is $5 per IP: ask in your ticket. A faulty IP is always replaced free.
